Awful awful awful. The service was horrible. Also there is supposed to be no cover charge before 9pm, but my friend and I showed up at 8:55 and the bouncer charged us $5 each. We asked why we had to pay and he said, "it's based off of when the beers start pouring." Not to mention the fact he was completely rude about it. We have come at this time before and never had a problem. SCAM. Westport is full of wonderful bars. Don't waste your money at Harpo's!

Overpriced. The bartenders are a bunch of try hard sorority whores that probably failed out of college and became dumb bitch bartenders that are rude to customers. Go to Kelly's.

Been coming here for quite a few years, primarily on St. Pats. I miss the drink cups they used to have in past years, as compared to the cheapy-plastic cups they had this year - but I can't say I blame them. I am sure they get expensive. The prices have always been fair, and service quick. Can't really rate on much besides the beer/service experience though. Im sure ill be back again!

I live near Harpos and I have been here ALOT! My office even had a reserved party here with open bar...I chose this bar after my birthday....point is I liked this bar. Also, this is past tense after St. Patrick's Day. I have NEVER been so pissed at a bartender and offended. Me and my friend were working our way up to the bar in order to order another round for our friends. The girl bartender who was in front of us saw us and we were both directly in front of the taps. I waited and looked at her waiting for her to acknowledge me....my friend had her card out to pay...we both got ignored...she would look away and walk away...finally a guy walked up to the bar next to my friend and she immediatly helped him. This did it. My friend told her that we'd been here 3 times longer than him and were waiting. She told us that we were fucked now and rolled her eyes as she walked off and got beers for someone else. Really?! We did absolutely nothing rude or loud, just patiently waiting...i know bartenders and i've waitressed so i know that she saw us and was being rude. I hate this bar and me and any of my friends will NEVER go back. So asides from the one busy St. Patty's day...Harpos better get some better staff unless they want to shut down. My office will never return either after our story. WE will spread the word about the crappy service. Being busy is absolutely no excuse. PERIOD.

Decent service, great sweet potato fries, and reasonable prices... will be back

A fairly decent happy hour, mainly because it is extremely cheap: $2 domestic bottles (I assume not Boulevard); $2 well drinks; $4 "martinis" (I'm never sure what this includes because when I hear martini, I only think of gin and vermouth). They also have $1 appetizers. Now, the appetizers are all fried (even the green beans), and they aren't the most spectacular things you'll ever eat, but as one of my friends said the other night, "Quit bitching; they're a dollar." Harpo's has a tremendous amount of space, which is good for a Westport bar. It also means that during the week the place generally looks completely empty; again, a very good thing if you're going with a group of friends afterwork. Every time I've been there, the service has been great. Finally, it is an MU bar, so if you're looking to catch a game with like-minded individuals, it is a fantastic amount of fun. Gold star.

Excellent on Tuesday. That is usually the only time I frequent Harpo's due to their 25 cent draws. That always makes for a good time with a group of friends. Gotta relive the college days some! Nothing like heading upstairs, putting some tables together, and getting large games of flip cup going on! I have yet to try their food, which I need to come back and check out during happy hours.

Went to this bar on Tuesday checking out what Westport had to offer and I was fairly disapointed. The place is decent don't get me wrong but the service was horrible. The Bartenders are ok but don't give a hoot about service. O wells, I gave this place 3 stars people It's a great place to people watch hahaha

Worst bar in Westport. Trying to celebrate my wife and I's one year anniversary and all the employees just say in there and talked and wouldn't even acknowledge us. Terrible service and bad attitudes.

We were greeted by an extremely rude manager. It may have been the owner. He made it seem like he was going out of his way to serve us. Meanwhile we were in a near empty bar and the servers were all huddled up talking to each other. That combined with the overwhelming smell of what I can only describe as cat urine drove us out after one drink. The patio looks like its great during the summer though, whether or not you'd actually get service, I'm not so sure about.

Not really my scene anymore. Was there once within the last year and had a fun time. Waitress was nice with good service. Last Saturday I got the vibe it was too much college bar. Bathroom was a little run down with no towels. Tables upstairs had stuff scratched into them everywhere. Outside bar was out of half the beer selections and the Guinness was $6 for a half size cup. Was packed when we got there, but thinned out within an hour. Ok, place to go if you already had a few drinks and don't really care what place your at anymore. One positive note. The heating units outside were nice.

So this is a total MIZZOU bar, which is cool unless you decide to stop in to watch the Husker game and said Missouri fans suddenly turn into Michigan fans simply because the Wolverines happen to be playing Nebraska that week. But I don't hold a grudge or anything. Seriously, though ... if you don't mind dealing with stereotypical dude-bros and aren't rooting for a team that Missouri fans dislike then this is a decent enough place to stop and watch the game. They have relatively cheap food and drinks and a pretty nice patio, so long as you can get a seat at one of the few tables that actually has a good view of the ONE television out there.

Very disappointing interaction with management when our credit card was lost behind the bar by no fault of our own. Management did not take any responsibility nor offer an apology for the mismanagement of our tab. Just told us to cancel our card, unapologetically. i recommend using cash only, and don't ask for the manager if you have an issue. Will not be offering our business to Harpo's in the future.

Great lunch spot. There bartenders double as wait staff. The food is made when you order it. So make sure you have a solid 30 minutes to wait The out side is pretty nice day and night, Weekends they have an out side bar too The only down fall is with there new renovations and look there attracting the fist pumping frat kids who don't know how to have more then one beer with yelling WHOOOhoooOooOoo

Went here on a Saturday night with a girlfriend. So much fun! The cover charge was three dollars, but it was worth it for the great band that was rockin' out. Anytime a bar has live music it scores points with me. The outdoor patio adds to the experience for sure. The expansive bar and the beautiful weather up there made it for a fantastic evening. Also, one dollar jello shots and the waitress was super friendly. Only reason I didn't give it a five is because it isn't the cleanest place in Westport, but understandable since it's a bar :).

Kind of a divey bar with a lot of specials. Came here mainly because the party I was with heard it was 26 cent beer night and yea, they're kind of cheap. Turns out it was 50 cent beer night and the only choice was Blue Moon. Yuk! So while they devoured an entire tray or two of cheap beers in plastic cups, I had a Schlafly and a Boulevard (which they do offer for 50 cents a cup on Thursdays) on draft. They were both great but what was interesting was that the Schlafly was served in a nice tulip glass, but the Boulevard was served in a plastic yellow drinking cup. Huh? Why the difference? I'd much rather have my beer served in a nice glass instead of a plastic cup. It does make a difference. Should also mention there is a five buck cover on these cheap beer nights. I don't know about other nights. That's probably how the bar makes its money for the evening. It certainly can't be on 50 cent brews. Bar itself was standard issue and the service was really good. They have a back patio that was definitely more active than the inside. By 1AM, most of the crows was there. So if you're into cheap beer, this might be the spot for you. If you're interested in selection and quality, there's probably better bars and pubs in Westport than here.

Came here on a Saturday night with some friends. We sat out on the patio and ordered chips and queso as well as a mushroom an Swiss burger. The stadium nachos were average. The queso was salty, but the mushroom burger was delicious. The service was slow, and our waitress wasn't that friendly. I wish they would have sensors or timers in the patio lights because when it starts to get dark, there are no lights around. So it's almost pitch black until the patio lights decide that they want to turn on. It's a nice little atmosphere, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back.

One of the worst places ever. Go there if you want drunk bros to possibly vomit on you. Or possibly get sprayed with vomit as the bouncer tries to eject said overly drunk bro. Should've stayed in Columbia, college bar.
(1)
Jess J.
Marginal, and should be slightly cheaper for slow-ish service and bland food. At least the appetizers are often inexpensive, so go that route versus ordering sandwiches and the like, which appear to be constructed with no seasoning whatsoever. Bathrooms are repulsive. In a nice location, but if you're in Westport, there are much better places you could be. *Edit... If you're just gonna drink here, you'll probably be fine, but the last time I was in, a friend bought me a mixed drink, and it was good, and I bought another friend the same drink mere moments later (different bartender, though). I found out at the end of the night that I was charged double for the same drink that was purchased for me. So that ain't cool. Just ain't cool, Harpo's. Might wanna watch it on crap like that.

Standard dive that serves food inside as well. Patio seating is nice in the summer though at night you may be distracted with music blaring from The Union. FYI ladies, the faintly moldy/ammonia-smelling bathroom is pretty unpleasant here. Come here for wells and beer but that's about it.
(2)
Jeremy C.
THIS BAR DOES NOT WELCOME OR ALLOW GAYS. I mean, what? I was here about a month ago and my friend was told he wasn't allowed to come in because he was gay. Judging from other reviews, this probably wasn't the first or last instance of this kind of discrimination. I'm not gay and I already didn't frequent this place because of the number of idiot frat guys and trashy girls that outnumber any other segment of the population but this bar has made my "never go here under any circumstance" list by discriminating against their patrons. Do not give this bar your money, time, or anything else because they don't deserve it. Not to mention every time I've gone there it's nothing but rude bartenders and terrible service, even the manager seemed to hate his life, making it obviously a chore to have to help me get drinks when his bartenders wouldn't.
(1)

While this has the potential to be a great establishment, the manager, Pete, makes this bar a firm NO. I have been here a number of times, and each time either my friends or myself have had run-ins with him. He is rude and belittling - not quite the gent you want to put up with after a long day. I wouldn't waste my time on this place until they get rid of the manager. If the owner is out there reading this, please take a gander at the other posts concerning this employee and take a hint!

What's up with bars putting their bathrooms in a hidden area? It's like a bad scene in a movie with an unhappy ending. The cups for wells here are huge. No lie. I think they were around 5 bucks? I'll take it.

Meh...this is an average bar in an average part of town. Yes, Westport is better than P&L, but I still don't like it very much. That's a different story for a different review. The place is generally clean enough, which is always appreciated (and often a bit rare) at a Westport bar. The prices seem somewhat high, but that can also be offset by rarely (ever?) charging a cover. I know that I have never paid one here, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. However, I figure that if Saturday night doesn't garner a cover, it must be rare. Cover, in general, angers me greatly. The bartenders are friendly enough but not overly so. Mixed drinks are not especially strong. The back patio is nice though. It's all pretty average here.

This is a dude bar. There were dudes everywhere and by dudes I mean frat dudes from MU. Downer. The three stars is from the great beer prices and the outside patio. The patio was huge with a second bar as well. Beware of the bathroom though. It smelled like a septic tank overflow down there it was so bad, but it's a college dude bar so whatever. I'll just hold it next time. Other than that, it was just meh. But beer made it better.

Harpo's is the place to be! They have 25 cent draws on Tuesday and a HUGE patio! They also have other really good drink and food specials throughout the week! If your into craft beer they now have a large selection of different craft beers outside on the patio!

Fun place, the best part is the huge outdoor area in the back. Pretty young crowd in general but a good mix of people. Great social drinking scene.

Harpo's is a Westport institution and I know Fans of the place will be insulted by this review. I also know that an old lady isn't the demographic they are aiming for so it's not likely that my comments will 'kill' their business. But I have to be honest here. I thought (hoped) it was just me but then I read some of the other reviews and realized it's a real problem. There was an unpleasant odor inside that bar and it will keep me from making a return trip. The Pros of our lunch foray were a friendly, polite server who volunteered to split up our check without being asked. And the food was reasonably priced and offered generous servings. I had Fish & Chips and there were three large deep fried pieces of cod and plenty of crispy fries. Hubby had a turkey sandwich and sweet potato crinkle-cut fries. My only quibble with the fried cod was that there was a very thin layer of uncooked batter under the crisp outside. We were there after the lunch rush was over and the oil may have cooled too much to get the right finish. I liked that they brought plenty of packets of tarter sauce and vinegar with the fish. However, I have no plans to return to Harpo's. They will no doubt survive without my business.

Harpos has really gone downhill. We were just there to watch a football game and were scolded for cheering. The bartender said, "you can't be that big of a fan here." What? It's a sports bar with a huge big screen just for watching sports. If there was another sports bar to compete in Westport I think Harpos would go under.

Tuesday's 25 cent draws draw crowds every week. Participating in pub crawls and parties...Harpos is a great place to have fun with a large or small group

This place doesn't allow gays. What a horrible establishment. In today's world, this kind of attitude isn't acceptable. My friend was turned away because he was gay, and i'm happy to say that i will never be going there again.

Every time I've come here it has been absolutely dead while other bars in Westport are flourishing. It's a good place to watch the over-staffed servers and bartenders be bored out of their minds and staring at their phones. Service is average but not really a place I'd recommend to go have fun at. Yes, the patio area is large, but what's the point when nothing is going on? Nothing that makes this place special compared to other places in the area.
(2)

This place gets four stars from me if only because its one of the best places to watch Mizzou games in KC. Their back patio is among the best in Westport, and they just completed a light, but incredibly needed, bathroom refurb.

My husband and I stopped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were inside but opted to sit outside in the courtyard because it was too noisy. We let our waittress know we were going outside however she seemed to forget us. She gave us a menu 15 minutes into waiting and came for our order 20 minutes after giving us menus. I ordered the Irish Nachos which is french fries with cheese, green chives, and sour cream. There was zero flavor. I could have made the same thing at home. My husband had a Buffalo Chicken Wrap which tasted just as bland. The ketchup bottle she brought out was empty and all the other tables around us had empty bottles as well. The only great thing about our experience was sitting outside on such a beautiful day but I can hardly give Harpos credit for that. If you're in Westport eat somewhere else! Harpos is only good for giving you a seat to sit in while you drink and yell back and forth with your company.

I did most of my drinking in college....though I did not do most of my college drinking at Harpo's at MU. Thursday night quarter draws were more for people who were way cooler than I was. Stupid Friday morning classes. Anyway, that was a long time ago and I'm a grown up now. In fact, I'm so grown up that I go to bar & grills more for the grill than the bar. You would think I'd learn by now that a place known for cheap beer will (more often than not) feature food better consumed while Your BAC hovers just under the legal limit. As I eat most of my meals perfectly sober, there are a lot of places in Westport I'd rather eat than Harpo's. They have burger madness on Wednesdays where the burgers are half priced. Nice concept, but a cheaper burger doesn't make it a better burger. The buns are nice (that's what she said?)...almost an eggy bread that's nice and soft. Unfortunately, the meat itself is pretty bland. They char-grill their burgers rather than use a flat top. I prefer my burgers cooked on a flat top if no actual charcoal is getting involved. Those crispity bits from a flat top add flavor. Sadly, not at Harpos. Also, I got wings. They were typical bar wings, though they were tragically oversauced for my taste. If I keep getting wings over sauced at bars, I'm going to have to start getting all "When Harry Met Sally" on the waitstaff and that will probably greatly increase the amount of loogies I ingest while dining. Conundrum The service is lacking when you compare Harpos to other restaurants. You walk in and people barely acknowledge your presence. If you sit at a table, it may take 10 minutes for someone to ask for a drink order or bring you a menu. This level of service is unacceptable in a restaurant, but fine for a bar where you can always wander up to the actual bar and order a beer. So...I'm more than happy to go to Harpos for a MU game, during a pub crawl or when I'm feeling nostalgic. If I'm wanting a good burger or a generally pleasing dining experience.....there are several other places to go in Westport.
(2)
Brian M.
Can the service be any slower? Can't get away with poor service and a mediocre product. I guess that the three patrons here this afternoon have overwhelmed both of the bartenders!

This is a good, nice, clean bar in the middle of Westport, which makes it inviting. They didn't charge us a cover when we went, I don't know if it's always like that, but I was pleasantly surprised, because I was expecting one since it seemed like a nicer place. Inside, the ceilings are really high and it gives the entire bar an open atmosphere. This is good when it is really crowded because you don't feel as claustrophobic. It did take a while to get a beer, I don't think that the central bar serves the space as good as it should. Maybe they needed more bartenders or other small bars on the sides next to the wall. Besides the high ceilings, I wasn't a huge fan of the atmosphere. It was a 'sausage fest', as they say, and I felt guys oogling me, even though I was there with my male friend and his friend. I hate when guys seem like they don't even care if you are with another man or not! It is so disrespectful, and it just made me feel uncomfortable, so we didn't stay long. I would say this bar is good for frat types or girls on the prowl. It definitely would qualify as a good singles bar.

I've given this place a bunch of shots and have tried to like it.... can't do it. This one older bartender dude that's always in there is a dick. Or they'll have these broads workin that have the personalities of colostomy bags. The burgers that are half off sometimes are crappy too. Go to McCoys

Ended up in Harpo's for dinner since McCoy's Public House was closed for an employee party. I'm an MU grad and have been to the Harpo's in Columbia more than a couple of times, so I appreciated a little touch of home, including the MU helmet above the bar. Overall the bar was...eh? The third star comes from the fact that apps were 1/2 price ($2.50 toasted ravioli? check.) for happy hour and they had a decent beer selection. I'd like to see the place again at night. I like the look of inside with the upper levels and the nice back patio. Basically, I was starving. And in Westport. And if you went to MU and see a sign that says Harpo's...well, I guess it's ingrained.

Went here the past weekend to get some drinks with friends. We only stayed on the first floor but the area didn't seem very large with all the tables and chairs they had throughout the place. My main problem with the bar was the bartenders service was poor in my opinion. The place wasn't very busy when we arrived yet we still sat at the bar waiting for about 15 minutes for a drink. We finally did get drinks which were very reasonably priced, However the poor service we received made us decide our time would be better spent elsewhere.

Cute place. The beer seemed especially tasty though I got something mainstream like Boulevard or something, I dunno, I didn't order it. I didn't check out the inside much, I kinda went straight outside and it has a really cozy patio with a nice view. This place'll be great to hang out if the miserable English weather decides to stop invading Missouri and let us have the early summer I'd been looking forward to since I moved back here from the Pit of Hell. Sidenote: I didn't know I could've kept my beer cups. I can still use some more dishes in my apartment...

Can't believe nobody's reviewed Harpo's yet! After Kelly's, Harpo's is probably the best known, most popular Westport bar. Its got two floors and a gigantic back patio with two bars inside and an additional one outside. Because of the huge patio, the best time to visit Harpo's is during the summer, when beautiful women are everywhere and the drinks are cheap. Its almost always packed on Friday and Saturday nights, but that's part of the fun of Harpo's. Its almost always filled with the younger crowd.

I met six friends at Harpo's to relax on the patio, have snacks, and do some day drinking on a perfect Saturday a few days ago. Harpo's was the only place that could accommodate our large group without an hour wait. Unfortunately, we found out why. We sat at our table for over an hour without so much as a hello from the server. We could see that they were under staffed, so we decided to make things easier by going to the bar to serve ourselves. The bartender was rude to each person from our group who went to buy rounds. We eventually decided to stop forcing them to take our money, and found a more welcoming deck. It's too bad, because it was my first time there, and none of us were unwilling to be patient if they were overwhelmed.

I love Harpos - it has good bar food and if you go in at 9 on a weekend night, you can still find a table because there is so much room. The drink specials are great, the happy hour is amazing - sold! There have be many times when my friends and I will meet there for dinner with the intent of barhopping afterward and then we end up just staying there the entire night because we are having such a great time. It's just a fun place to be.

they have a drink called the "hammer". if you drink more than 2 of these, you shouldn't consider driving or going anywhere else for the night because you'll be trashed. it tastes like fruit punch, but contains a variety of different alcohols. the upstairs is cool. basketball goal machine is my fave thing to do there. nothing really exciting about the place other than the hammer

Harpo's is a unique bar located in Westport, the design of the building makes Harpo's a cool party bar with several options for having fun and socializing. Tables and chairs surround the main bar, with a small stage in the front window for live music. The upstairs is wide open and looks down on the main bar room. This give the bar a big wide open ambiance, but don't think of tossing anything down below, even on a friend- if they catch you, you're gone, no questions asked. Another cool feature of Harpo's on a busy night is the back bar, located in a different room all together with booth seating and big tables for large groups. The final and largest feature of Harpo's is the back patio. The back patio, open based on weather and season is huge, and seats probably as much as the rest of the bar combined. The back patio is surrounded by an iron fence and boasts its own full bar and a unique classic phone booth, not a functional unit, but it adds to the unique character of this essential Westport bar.

I been to Harpo's a few times and have enjoyed each evening. There was always plenty of room to sit down, but still a 'happening' place. The wait staff was friendly and the drinks were a decent price. I love the patio area in the evenings. My friends and I always enjoy stopping in Harpo's.

Great bar, great vodka lemonades! Even though this bar is a Missouri bar and I'm a Cyclone fan it's still a great bar. Don't get me wrong it's no Kelly's but it's my second favorite bar in KC. The vodka lemonades are fantastic and you get to keep the plastic cups you drink out of. (These cups work excellent for putting ice and a whole can of soda in.) You can sit inside or outside in the patio. Another great place to go to when the Cyclones are in town and you didn't get to Kelly's early enough to get in.

Harpo's is a fun bar if you're OK with large, stuffy crowds of 20-somethings. I'm a part of that crowd, but I sometimes find more than I can tolerate of annoying, spiky-haired college guys who look and smell like they're trying just a little too hard at Harpo's. It's a great space, and I'm an especially big fan of their large patio... but I don't know. Their daily drink specials aren't that great. And I'm pretty sure it's the only place in Westport to charge a cover on the weekends. But it's a fun bar to go to with a big group of people, especially when the weather is nice and you can take to the patio.

I started going to Harpo's some time back when they had trivia on Thursdays. The trivia was fun and it took place in their outdoors back patio. I really like that patio. That's the highlight of this place. The service is fine. The problem is that it's very overpriced for normal drinks like gin and tonics and the drinks aren't strong. I'd stick with beer to get a little less ripped off. Also, unless you're a diehard sports fan, don't come during any big games! It's crazy and loud in there. On a hot day or night, it's a good stop for the outdoors seating.

Great atmosphere for watching sports games. We came here to watch Mizzou play Texas A&M, a game that would send us to the SEC championship. This is about one of the wildest places you can watch sporting events other than actually going to the game itself. Definitely don't expect to be partying with the most upscale clientele. To give you an accurate picture of the atmosphere this place secretes, imagine walking through the parameters of a frat house around 8:32 the morning after one of the biggest parties ever. Getting you hammered is definitely a large part of their business model. The drinks all come in plastic cups, I suspect because they no doubt could be used as a weapon in this place. I think even the shot glasses are plastic if I remember correctly, but who knows--I was hammered. Don't expect the cleanest restrooms; like I said, this is a frat house ready to celebrate. I'm not even sure if there's a janitor on payroll; I'm guessing probably no. If you come here, expect to get hammered with cheap drinks, yell and scream at the television, and hang out with a bunch of folks doing precisely the same thing.

Can't believe the low rating on Yelp! Great little bar with all the baseball games or at least the Braves playing Cincinnati for second night here in a row. Bar food is bar food, wings tried were fine. Lots of beer choices draft and bottle plus full bar with everything. Service is great at bar and barmaids are hustling to outdoor deck to packed crowd all night tonight and last night. There are specials posted daily for drinks and food which look OK. (See photo) Plenty of TVs inside, I liked this friendly Westport bar, no complaints.

I came here for lunch and while it wasn't terrible, it just wasn't.....Much of anything. As Ryan stated before me, the bartenders are hot. Some even super hot. I noticed several douchebags in here as early as I was, and I'm pretty confident they are still there at this moment. I had a couple TVs to watch and some college decor to look around at. Oh and the bartenders and waitresses. I ordered some chicken strips and fries and some miller lite in a plastic cup. You know you're at a high class place when they're giving out plastic cups. I'm assuming that's for the same reason everywhere else I've been that has plastic cups had them..The typical crowd would simply break too many glasses. Anyways, chicken strips were good but super salty. You can't really screw up chicken strips anyways. The prices weren't bad. I guess I just expected a place in westport to have more of a feel to it. It is kind of a cool place inside but they need to do more to give it some kind of unique character, not just another "Hang out with your buddies wearing Mizzou polos and pound bud light and Jager shots" kind of place.

Is it just me or would you assume "toasted ravioli" is cheese-filled? Their ravioli is meat-filled. I tracked down our hard-to-find waitress to ask if the menu specified it (not a huge deal, but I'm a vegitarian). She came back and said, "nope," and "here's your check." The check still charged us for the ravioli. Honestly, the outdoor area is really nice. Just don't expect fast or good service.

Not the place for me or the bachelor party we were with. Difficult time getting drinks, security and management are also very sensitive and rude. Check out the other neighborhood bars. Good Eats & Cheers!

Do you like getting your shoulder bumped by a douchebag who thinks he's Randy Orton? Harpos is probably the place for you. Let me paint you a picture. You're talking to a girl. Everything is going well. The only thing keeping you from getting her number, and maybe taking her home, is a boner with a shot ready to fill the 1 foot gap between the two of you. 7/10 times, that boner cuts you off mid sentence. Then tries to swoop in like the a tattooed condor and "steal yo girl". The bartenders are hot. My friend also broke his glasses here once. Other than the skeezers you'll inevitably encounter in or outside, Harpo's won't deprive you of the aggressive blackout you came here to get. On Tuesdays for the mere price of $10 a tray, you can compete in a 6th grade cup stacking competition against your friends to see who drank more mini Boulevard Wheats. They also have shots for the price of 1/4 the fifth it belongs to. Want someone to take a drunken glance at your manhood? The Harpos men's bathroom is the meat gazing meca of the Midwest. You can't even tuck and zip your junk without catching at least the smallest glimpse of the heat in the urinal next door. Big Buck HD is awesome and if anyone wants to be outshot come find me. Denise, if you're reading this, call me.

Ordered $40 worth of drinks. The bartender told me to leave her bar or be kicked out because I didn't give her a tip? It's not like they were difficult drinks to make. A few beers and some fireball shots. Tips are EARNED not EXPECTED. Then we went to another bar in the restaurant and asked for a manager, the bartender said there wasn't one working. So I guess Harpos doesn't have managers working on Saturday nights incase anyone wants to know.

Pretty disappointed. It's a Sunday afternoon, a very SWELTERING afternoon, and a group of 10 of us were kind enough to come in. We all ordered vodka sodas, and every one of us was charged for a double. This is not our first time here and we were upset we weren't informed until we asked for our tabs that the double is the "standard pour for the day." We should have been told this the moment we ordered. The manager should have given us a discount instead of being super rude. Won't be going back here; it smells like urine anyways.

Best place to grab a drink! Ask for Kerry as the bartender and Alexis as your waitress, they will treat you right!

The only positive about Harpo's is that they have an outdoor patio that's awesome. The service for Happy Hour the other night was horrible. I paid $7 to get like 15 (at most) pepperjack cheese balls that were the size of marbles. There were no decent drink specials outside of HH (and I didn't think their HH specials were even that great to begin with). Overall- the food isn't great. They are overpriced and the staff has some major issues. I'd choose some place else next time.

I've gone to this bar as a nightlife goer. I can't say anything personally about the food, but it was a pretty decent bar to hang at. I like the outdoor seating and the upstairs seating. Gives you more space and options to be, especially if you are with a group of people. Their bathrooms are in the lowest level of the bar and let me tell you, it's super small and their is always a line leading down the stairs to it. Speaking of lines, the main bar inside is always a hassle to get to and the bartendars seem to be judgemental of whom they serve first. I get they want the money, but don't let people wait longer then they need to for a drink. They play music but you can hardly hear it. I would recommend getting a table because when it gets busy, it becomes chest to chest and turns into a ruined night because you can't breathe. The prices aren't too bad and it's pretty fun for being more of a dive bar.

Good food. Great patio. All in all a good place. The only thing that makes it bad are the rude bartenders Especially the tall old guy...not so friendly

The bar and the patio are awesome!! The scene is full of douchey frat guys and stuck up sorority girls. OVER IT.

(1)Matt J.
Overpriced. The bartenders are a bunch of try hard sorority whores that probably failed out of college and became dumb bitch bartenders that are rude to customers. Go to Kelly's.
(1)Amanda W.

PERIOD.

Decent service, great sweet potato fries, and reasonable prices... will be back
(4)Justin D.
Gold star.
(4)Jason B.
(3)Tra H.
(3)Mike D.
Worst bar in Westport. Trying to celebrate my wife and I's one year anniversary and all the employees just say in there and talked and wouldn't even acknowledge us. Terrible service and bad attitudes.
(1)Adam J.
(2)Tony K.
(2)Jen H.
(2)Avery F.
(1)Stacie E.
(4)Bethany F.
(4)Adam B.
(3)Patricia P.
(3)Conor L.
One of the worst places ever. Go there if you want drunk bros to possibly vomit on you. Or possibly get sprayed with vomit as the bouncer tries to eject said overly drunk bro. Should've stayed in Columbia, college bar.
(1)Jess J.
(2)Clarice W.
Standard dive that serves food inside as well. Patio seating is nice in the summer though at night you may be distracted with music blaring from The Union. FYI ladies, the faintly moldy/ammonia-smelling bathroom is pretty unpleasant here. Come here for wells and beer but that's about it.
(2)Jeremy C.
(1)Marc R.
(1)Susan C.
What's up with bars putting their bathrooms in a hidden area? It's like a bad scene in a movie with an unhappy ending. The cups for wells here are huge. No lie. I think they were around 5 bucks? I'll take it.
(3)Zach G.
(3)Stephanie P.
(3)Brittany D.
Harpo's is the place to be! They have 25 cent draws on Tuesday and a HUGE patio! They also have other really good drink and food specials throughout the week! If your into craft beer they now have a large selection of different craft beers outside on the patio!
(5)Nicole C.
Fun place, the best part is the huge outdoor area in the back. Pretty young crowd in general but a good mix of people. Great social drinking scene.
(3)Carol A.
(1)Megan W.
Harpos has really gone downhill. We were just there to watch a football game and were scolded for cheering. The bartender said, "you can't be that big of a fan here." What? It's a sports bar with a huge big screen just for watching sports. If there was another sports bar to compete in Westport I think Harpos would go under.
(1)Erin W.
Tuesday's 25 cent draws draw crowds every week. Participating in pub crawls and parties...Harpos is a great place to have fun with a large or small group
(4)Brian N.
This place doesn't allow gays. What a horrible establishment. In today's world, this kind of attitude isn't acceptable. My friend was turned away because he was gay, and i'm happy to say that i will never be going there again.
(1)Jason B.
(2)Abbey A.
This place gets four stars from me if only because its one of the best places to watch Mizzou games in KC. Their back patio is among the best in Westport, and they just completed a light, but incredibly needed, bathroom refurb.
(4)Lauren C.
(2)L.L S.
(2)Brian M.
Can the service be any slower? Can't get away with poor service and a mediocre product. I guess that the three patrons here this afternoon have overwhelmed both of the bartenders!
(2)Kelsey C.
(4)Joe L.
If you're here late, there's almost always barf in the bathroom.
(2)Beau S.
I've given this place a bunch of shots and have tried to like it.... can't do it. This one older bartender dude that's always in there is a dick. Or they'll have these broads workin that have the personalities of colostomy bags. The burgers that are half off sometimes are crappy too. Go to McCoys
(2)Emily V.
(3)Andrew L.
(2)Heather K.
(3)Kyle R.
(4)Tamara B.
(1)Ashley M.
(4)Cole M.
Great place with classy interior and really good portions. I am so happy that we sat outside as well. The back patio is HUGE!
(4)Mykie D.
they have a drink called the "hammer". if you drink more than 2 of these, you shouldn't consider driving or going anywhere else for the night because you'll be trashed. it tastes like fruit punch, but contains a variety of different alcohols. the upstairs is cool. basketball goal machine is my fave thing to do there. nothing really exciting about the place other than the hammer
(3)Adam C.
(3)K A.
I been to Harpo's a few times and have enjoyed each evening. There was always plenty of room to sit down, but still a 'happening' place. The wait staff was friendly and the drinks were a decent price. I love the patio area in the evenings. My friends and I always enjoy stopping in Harpo's.
(4)Jaclyn P.
(5)K T.

Bartender was awful, and rude. Need to teach there employees to actually be nice to the customer.
